  • AFP ACQUIRES SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON
    On March 2003, a total of 402 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) were delivered to the Philippine Army and the Philippine Marines.

  • AFP ACQUIRES ARMORED RECOVERY VEHICLE (ARV)
    The AFP Vice Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Rodolfo C Garcia formally received from Anthony Michael Prebble, FNSS Representative, the latest addition to the armor assets inventory of the AFP, the Armored Recovery Vehicle (ARV), during a turnover ceremony held at the GHQ, AFP Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on 04 February 2004. The acquisition of the ARV is part of the capability building initiatives of the Armed Forces as outlined in its Modernization Program.

  • AFP ACQUIRES FALCON II TACTICAL RADIOS
    The AFP Chief of Staff, General Narciso L Abaya formally received from Mr. Alan Callaghan and Greg Bell, representatives of Harris Corporation, the High Frequency Single-Side-Band (HF SSB) Manpack Transceivers during a turnover ceremony held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on June 3, 2004. The acquisition of these manpack transceivers is part of the capability building initiatives of the Armed Forces as outlined in its Modernization Program.

  • AFP ACQUIRES DENTAL EQUIPMENT
    The pre-shipment inspection was on 15-16 June 2004 while turnover ceremony was conducted on 25 June 2004.

  • AFP ACQUIRES 20 UH-1H HELICOPTERS
    The AFP Vice Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral Ariston V Delos Reyes formally received from Mr Ho Yuen Sang, Deputy President & COO of Singapore Technologies Aerospace, the latest additions to the air assets of the AFP, three refurbished UH-1H helicopters during a turnover ceremony held at the GHQ, AFP Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on August 25, 2004.
  • TURNOVER OF BN-ISLANDER AIRCRAFT AND DIVE SUITS
    The AFP Vice Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral Ariston V Delos Reyes formally received from Hawker Pacific (Phils) and Ophir Defense System Corps., the latest additions to the naval assets of the AFP, one refurbished BN-Islander Aircarft and brand new dive suits during a turnover ceremony held at the Headquarters Naval Air Group, Naval Base Cavite, Sangley Point, Cavite City on 08 October 2004.
  • AFP ACQUIRES ADDITIONAL UH-1H HELICOPTERS
    AFP Chief of Staff General Narciso Abaya formally received from Singapore Technologies (ST) Aerospace Engineering, three refurbished UH-1H helicopters during a turnover ceremony held at the GHQ, AFP Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City today. Secretary of National Defense, Avelino J. Cruz Jr. witnessed the turn-over as guest of honor and speaker.
