DESCIRPTION AND SYMBOLISM OF THE DIFFERENT COMPONENTS OF THE CEISSAFP LOGO:

A.  TORCH (SULO) – It sports a red flame in a tampering handle with bar codes in black and white and set vertical along the center of the logo.

        The torch symbolizes the early means of communications.  The use of light is the simplest device of communications, which is captured by the human eye.  It is the passing of information or signal communications through the use of the visual sense organ.  The torch handle with bar codes signifies the advent of technology, which has influenced the evolution of communications.  It represents information technology, which is now a vital part of military communications.

 B.  LIGHTNING FLASH – It is yellow in color and crosses the torch diagonally from upper right lower left direction.  It symbolizes electrical impulses or the passing of information through electronics – the modern medium of communication.

 C.  HORN OR TAMBULI – it is black in color and crosses the center of the logo in opposite direction to that of the lightning flash.  The mouthpiece is at the upper left portion and the concave body extends downwards to the right with oval chains visible from the mouthpiece to the shoulder of the torch.

        The Tambuli represents the early means of communications.  It also symbolizes the means of military communications by sound which directly appeals to our sense of hearing.

        The black color of the “tambuli” is based on the original color of a carabao”s horn.

 D.  CHAIN OR TANIKALA – It is represented by an interlink of ten (10) oval chains.  It symbolizes the connectivity of all CEISSAFP Units nationwide.  Its color is black which symbolizes linkages and connectivity.

 E.  ORANGE CIRCLE – It serves as the background of the unit logo.  Orange is the official color of the AFP Signal Corps as stipulated in AFPR G 340-011 (S-67).

        The circle signifies mobility, coordination and unity of efforts in the accomplishment of the unit’s mission.

 F.  OUTER RING – It is yellow in color and inscribed in it is the unit’s name.  the outer ring signifies the commitment of CEISSAFP to serve and extend support in whatever capacity to the people of the AFP has shown to protect. 

 G.  ATOM SYMBOL - The Atom symbol placed between the Communications Electronics and Information Systems Service and AFP symbolizes continuous search of the unit towards technology improvement and utilization.
