2CEISG FIRES FIRST SALVO, CONDUCTS CIVAC AT MT. CABUYAO

           The 2^nd Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Group (2CEISG) under the command of MAJ ESTELA A VILLA (SC) PA conducted a Medical, Dental and Feeding Program on 23 January, 2010 at Sitio Mt. Cabuyao, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet. It was the first CMO activity to be initiated by any CEISSAFP unit. The said activity was achieved with the collaboration of 2CEISG, Rotary Club of Quezon City District 3870, PMA Station Hospital, 1301^st Dental Dispensary, MIG1 Kaagapay Uno, 503^rd Bde Community Outreach Workers, Toyota-Baguio, Digitel- Northern Luzon, Benguet Provincial Office, LGU of Tuba, and ABS-CBN Northern Luzon.

           The Civic action had benefited a total of 229 residents. Further, the campaign to improve the Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Chapel of Mt. Cabuyao was launched. The chapel officials collected P 2, 500.00 from the CIVAC participants. During the CIVAC in 2009, the parishioners were able to solicit funds for the chapel's Public Address System. Moreover, there was a good Samaritan in the name of Mr. Larry Lacsamana, owner of Balintawak Market, who encouraged the vegetable farmers of Cabuyao to organize themselves, and deal directly with his market personnel to eliminate expenses in dealing with middlemen, thereby to increase their profits.

           Indeed it was another significant and fulfilling event for the 2CEISG and its participating sponsors, who rendered their untiring support for the success of the activity. Truly everyone deserves recognition.
