Since the creation of Communications, Electronics & Information and Information Systems Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines as an AFPWSSUs and having the tasked of providing the AFP with necessary communications support, CEISSAFP has gone a long way. From the former communications and electronics, its expertise has already expanded and now includes the field of information systems. No doubt, the Unit is now duly regarded as the nerve center of the Armed Forces and equipping the AFP leadership and its units throughout the archipelago with the technical know-how and capability for a swift action and coordination, accurate and timely information flow that has always been the lifeblood of the Command and Control of the organization. It is the primary unit that connects all levels of command, enables information to reach the Commander in the Headquarters and all messages to be relayed to the soldiers in the field.

We now live in the era of modern technology and several changes occurred, introducing to mankind the capabilities that a decade ago were only imagined in fiction and movies. The global battlefield of the 21st century will be over information – withholding of facts and dissemination including interpretation of events and presentation of distortion of ideas and ideologies and the communication of messages and symbols to which people react, whether consciously or unconsciously.

The AFP leadership knowing this facts on hand, and as a part of the thrusts for modernization, the budget is aligned in order to fast track the modernization of our CEIS equipment and facilities. As a matter of fact, the AFP Integrated Radio Trunking System is now being implemented and on its final phase while three (3) other CEIS Projects are to be undertaken within the year and they are: the Community Area Network (CAN), The AFP Fixed Communications Systems and the AFP Satellite Communications Projects. Implementation of said projects greatly rely on the technical expertise of CEISSAFP personnel especially on the expertise to operate and maintain these systems.

The CEISSAFP today will continue the untiring efforts in providing the entire AFP with timely and reliable communications, electronics and information systems services. The collective efforts in this endeavor are very crucial in ensuring that the AFP will continue to have the best means of communications even to the smaller camps and bases nationwide.

CEISSAFP will continue on developing and training CEIS personnel through technical courses being offered by our own Training Center and the learning/training centers of government and non-government institutions and organizations nationwide and even outside the country.

The AFP and the Filipino people are assured that CEISSAFP will continue the good job and will carry on the finest tradition of our rank. The team spirit will be our motivation to persevere, emboldened and unfazed by the challenges ahead. You can be assured on depending on CEISSAFP.
