WESTERN COMMAND. Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero, AFP Chief of Staff, presided over a Change-of-Command Ceremony at the Western Command Social Hall, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on Monday, 20 November 2017. Newly promoted Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez, who donned his third star on the same day, takes helm of the country’s western frontier as he relinquished his post as Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force. He will assume the position left by Lt. Gen. Galileo Gerard Kintanar Jr. who became the 35th Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force.
Lt. Gen. Briguez held various positions in the Air Force prior to his stint as its Vice Commander. He is the former Chief of Air Staff, PAF; Commandant of Cadets, PMA; Deputy Wing Commander, 250th Presidential Airlift Wing, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Operations, A-3, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Education and Training, A-8, and Commander, Tactical Operations Group 11.
