A graduate of Nursing from the Baguio General Hospital School of Nursing in 1972 pursued her Master of Arts in Nursing at the University of Asia and the Pacific in 2002. Her military career started in May 1973 when she was called to active duty with the initial rank of 2LT and was assigned in different military hospitals in various capacities as staff nurse, Headnurse, supervisor and chief nurse. The last position she held was as Chief Nurse, Philippine Army in 2004. She was designated as The Chief Nurse, AFP last 15 October 2004 and was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General last 20 Oct 2005. She is the 20th Chief Nurse of the Nurse Corps, AFP and the 4th Woman General in the AFP
BGEN PADUA is a quintessence of a pragmatic, proactive and transformational leader who has a continuous thirst for knowledge and a knack for shaping her leadership curve. Intertwined with her career are various trainings abroad and sensitive positions that has chiseled her leadership acumen.
Her eyes never fail to see the deepest concerns of a subordinate or co-workers. Her life is an open testament - she would often say that if you do your best unconditionally in the name of the Lord , all of your plans will be successful.

-Approval of LO 174 dtd 15 March 2006, “AFPOS Designation of NC Officers in the AFP”
-Proponent for the revision of the 1987 AFP Standards of Nursing Practice
-Finalization of the Nurse Corps, AFP Primer and its subsequent publication
-Successful conduct of the ‘Health Care Fair 2005’ at the GHQ Canopy area
-Programming and Distribution of BP apparatus/ IT equipments to AFPWSSUs
- Approval of 1.7M repair/ rehab of AFPMC Nurse Officer’s Quarters
-Upgrading of training equipment and repair of AFPMC training hall
