CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Felimon Santos Jr was given a recognition for his 38 years of military service by his alma mater, the Philippine Military Academy at Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City on July 26, 2020.

The AFP Chief was welcomed in the academy with military honors led by the PMA Superintendent Vice Admiral Allan Ferdinand Cusi.

In his visit, General Santos graced the incorporation rites for the incoming fourth class cadets of the academy. The said activity is an important milestone to the life of the cadets as they will be finally incorporated to the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Subsequently, with the newly incorporated cadets, the academy rendered and recognized the AFP Chief with a Testimonial Parade and Review for his 38 years of selfless and dedicated military service to the Republic of the Philippines.

General Santos inspired and uplifted the morale of the cadets by recounting his experiences when he was a cadet like them, where all experiences will lead them to become a better officer of the armed forces.

"Back then as a cadet I also questioned the things that were asked or tasked, numerous re-barracks, numerous parades, but later on, I appreciated everything because all those were to prepare me as an officer.” General Santos said to the cadets.

The AFP Chief reminded the upper class cadets to be the best example for the lower class cadets, that embodies the academy’s core values, Courage, Integrity and Loyalty.
