CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) receives six fogging machines donated by the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) on July 30, 2020 at the General Headquarters Canopy.

The outgoing Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché to Cambodia, Colonel Josel Zuniga representing the RCAF handed over the fogging machines to the AFP represented by the Inspector General, AFP Lieutenant General Franco Nemecio Gacal representing the AFP Chief of Staff General Felimon Santos Jr. Lieutenant General Gacal is accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, J5 Major General Samuel Gotico in receiving the machines in behalf of the AFP.

The six fogging machines were donated by Lieutenant General Mao Sophan, Deputy Joint Chief of Staff of RCAF and Commander of Brigade 70 as a token of appreciation and gratitude to units who received and displayed warm hospitality to him during his visit last August 2019.

These units include, AFP Special Operations Command, Light Reaction Regiment, Special Forces Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, and the General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command.

The machines will be used for disinfecting and sanitizing areas prone to contamination, ensuring that the camps and bases will be a safer place for the troops to live and work in.

“Through the leadership of your Commander-in-Chief General Vhong Pisen, this noble endeavor of yours extends beyond boundaries, and will be treasured by the AFP as we further strengthen our military cooperation between our nations.” General Santos expressed his gratitude in a message delivered by Lieutenant General Gacal.
