AFP commits troops, assets for HADR in Mindanao

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines, deployed its search and rescue personnel and assets for the ongoing humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations in Davao and Caraga regions to assist residents affected by recent heavy rains and flooding that persist since late January and the Masara landslide on February 6.

The Philippine Air Force--particularly the 505th Search and Rescue Group, 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing, and the 220th Airlift Wing--with six helicopters, one C-130, and one C-295 aircraft in use have transported a total of 88,444 lbs of relief goods, equipment, and personnel as of February 13. 

U.S. air assets to assist AFP in aiding Mindanao landslide victims

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City —  In a collaborative effort between the United States Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), two (2) U.S. Marine Corps KC-130J Hercules aircraft will be providing assistance in delivering supplies to the affected communities of the Masara Landslide in Mindanao. 

Currently, the two USMC KC-130 aircraft are stationed at Villamor Air Base while the processing, weighing and loading  of supplies for transport on February 12 are ongoing, with the plan for four (4) deliveries daily (two per plane) to maintain a steady supply to the affected areas. 

Two US aircraft deliver aid to Davao City

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Two C-130 aircraft of the United States Marine Corps delivered to Davao City 4,800 boxes of family food packs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development on February 12.

AFP dons rank to 21 newly-promoted TAS Senior Officers

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Deputy Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (TDCSAFP), LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M) led the donning of ranks of 21 newly-promoted senior officers from the Technical and Administrative Services (TAS) on February 12 at the General Headquarters. 

In his message, the TDCSAFP thanked the TAS officers from the AFP Medical Corps, Dental Service, Judge Advocate General's Service, Corps of Professors, and Medical Administrative Corps for their dedication and commitment to public service while upholding the values of honor, service and patriotism.

PBBM visits, fetes soldiers at Army Hospital

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--President Ferdinand Marcos Jr along with top defense and military officials visited soldiers receiving treatment at the Army General Hospital in Fort Bonifacio on February 12.

He also met and awarded the personnel who were wounded in the successful military operation against members of the Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Group last January that resulted in the death of top wanted personalities in the Mindanao State University bombing last December.
