AFP honors fallen soldiers to mark 85th anniversary celebration

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier inside Libingan ng mga Bayani Friday, December 18.
The gesture aims to honor and commemorate the heroism of Filipino soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The AFP Chief reminded the troops to always be grateful and never forget the sacrifices made by their fellow soldiers for peace the Filipinos are enjoying today.
“Ang lahat ng kanilang sakripisyo ay para sa bayan at para sa bawat Pilipino. Kaya naman lubos ang ating pasasalamat sa ating mga kasamahang sundalo na hindi nagdalawang-isip na magbuwis ng buhay. Muli, palagi nating tandaan na ang kapayapaan ay natatamasa ng karamihan dahil sa sakripisyo ng iilan,” General Gilbert Gapay said in the ceremony, which is one of the highlights for the AFP's 85th anniversary celebration.

CAMP GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO, QUEZON CITY— Armed Forces of the Chief of Staff (AFP) General Gilbert Gapay led the graduation ceremony of the Command and General Staff Course (CGSC), Class 67 on December 16 at the Manipula Hall, Camp Aguinaldo.
The CGSC Class 67 is composed of 137 student officers from the AFP and international students from foreign armed forces. The student officers took nine months from March 2 to December 16 to finish the course.
AFP highlights 85th anniversary with fleet review, wing flyby

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines celebrated its 85th Anniversary with a fleet review and wing flyby showcasing 63 air and naval assets on December 16 near the coast of Bataan.
The BRP Jose Rizal and BRP Davao Del Sur led the contingent from the Philippine Navy and three FA-50 and two Black Hawks headlined for the Philippine Air Force.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Gilbert Gapay urged army aviators and aspirants to continue doing their best in his visit to the Headquarters, 7ID and Army Aviation Regiment in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on December 14.
General Gapay attended the opening ceremony of Rotary Wing Transition Course Class 02-2020 and Aviator Qualification Course Class and delivered a short message to boost the morale of personnel and attendees.
Over 300 military personnel join AFP's IHL Summit

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines conducted its 2020 Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Summit Friday, December 11, to further increase awareness and ensure compliance among its personnel.
Over 300 military officers and enlisted personnel from the different AFP units and offices nationwide attended the virtual conference led by the AFP Human Rights Office.
