CSAFP welcomes new VISCOM commander

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City- General Romeo Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), welcomed LtGen Fernando Reyeg, in a joint turnover and donning of ranks ceremony as he assumed office as the new Commander of Visayas Command (VISCOM), succeeding Acting Commander Oscar Canlas Jr., on April 24, 2024, at Bondad Hall, Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City.

VCSAFP welcomes U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Commander to the AFP

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City- LtGen Arthur Cordura, Vice Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (VCSAFP), welcomed LtGen William Jurney, Commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC), during his courtesy visit on April 22, 2024, at AFP General Headquarters.  

Central to the discussion was the upcoming Balikatan 2024 exercises, a cornerstone of the PH-US civic and military cooperation. In their meeting, the two parties reaffirmed their longstanding alliance, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing complexities brought by ever-evolving regional security challenges.
