CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr, officially joined the nation in the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) 2025 through a Simultaneous Flag Raising and Kick-Off Ceremony held today at the General Headquarters Canopy.
Anchored on the recurring 2023-2028 theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” this year’s celebration highlights the AFP’s renewed commitment to gender advocacy and its dedication to sustaining the progress and gains achieved in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the organization and beyond.
“As we embark on this special month, let us wholeheartedly honor the extraordinary contributions of women — past and present — who have shaped the very fabric of our nation,” General Brawner said.
The AFP’s active participation in National Women’s Month 2025 reflects its unwavering commitment to fostering an environment of equal opportunity for all, breaking barriers, and upholding gender equality as a cornerstone of its institutional values.
“Their resilience, strength, and steadfast leadership continue to guide us toward a future that is not only inclusive, but brighter for all,” the AFP Chief of Staff added.
Through this celebration and a series of upcoming activities, the AFP stands in solidarity with all Filipino women, recognizing their vital role in nation-building and reaffirming the AFP’s dedication to creating a gender-fair, inclusive, and empowered society.///
