CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines is conducting the Chief of Staff Challenge 2024, a shooting competition sanctioned by the Philippine Shooters and Match Officers Confederation, on January 24 to 28 at the Philippine Military Academy Firing Range in Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City.

The competition will have two events, the AFP Match for active military personnel only and will be held from January 24 to 25, and the Main Match, which is open to military and civilian shooters, will be on January 26 to 28.

It aims to benefit wounded and sick soldiers in the AFP Health Service Command, support scholarship for military orphans, and improve the PMA Firing Range. The Opening Ceremony and Ceremonial Shoot was graced by Secretary Teng Mangudadatu, TESDA Director General, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

“This is an important event, not just so we could hone our skills, but more importantly for us to get together and show our unity as an organization,” AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr said, as he encouraged military participants to enjoy and strengthen their partnership with the other shooters.
