CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines joined the Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NFNL) to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the Philippine Rise especially in upholding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity on July 9, 2024, at PPIC 1, Poro Point, San Fernando, La Union.
The celebration began with a Send-Off Ceremony for FF150, presided over by Commodore Edward Ike De Sagon PN, Commander of NFNL. Also present was LtGen Fernyl Buca PAF, Commander of Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), who served as guest of honor and speaker. Subsequently, the FF150 conducted a Flag Raising Ceremony.
The commemoration underscored the AFP’s collective commitment to sustaining marine conservation of the Philippine Rise, highlighting its strategic purpose for the present and future generations.
