Two newly completed infrastructure projects—a two-classroom school building and a community health center—were formally turned over to their respective communities in Brooke’s Point on May 7 and in Rizal, Palawan on May 8, 2025, under the Humanitarian Civic Assistance (HCA) component of Exercise Balikatan 40-25.
On May 7, a turnover and dedication ceremony was held at Felipe D. Irader Elementary School in Sitio Limbasan, Barangay Ipilan, Brooke's Point to mark the completion of a one-storey, two-classroom school building equipped with comfort rooms. The project, which broke ground on October 15, 2024, achieved 100% completion by May 2, 2025. It aims to provide a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for students in this geographically isolated area.
The following day, a turnover and blessing ceremony was conducted for the newly built Community Health Care Center in Sitio Manggahan, Barangay Iraan, Rizal. This facility will provide essential medical services to the local population, bringing much-needed healthcare access to residents in the area.
The event saw the participation of key stakeholders from both military and civilian sectors, underscoring the strong collaborative spirit driving these initiatives.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), in collaboration with U.S. counterparts, remain committed to delivering tangible benefits to local communities through sustained humanitarian and civic action programs.
