Philippines, Japan, and US Conduct 5th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Philippine Navy’s BRP Andres Bonifacio and a C-90 aircraft, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s Murasame-class destroyer JS Samidare, and the U.S. Navy’s P-8A Poseidon participate in the 5th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA) on December 6, 2024, within the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone. The activity included communications checks, Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE), pre-sail conference, Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX), and Division Tactics (DIVTACS), showcasing enhanced interoperability and a shared commitment to maintaining regional peace and stability.
