
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Athletes from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) participated in the closing ceremony of this year’s Little Olympics on Friday, June 3 at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand in Camp Aguinaldo.
The first face-to-face AFP-PNP-PCG Little Olympics since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic was launched on May 24 to promote physical fitness and wellness among dependents of uniformed service members.
The Philippine Army (PA) triumphed as the overall champion in the week-long sporting event held at various military facilities in Metro Manila.
Team Army came first place in Badminton followed by AFP General Headquarters (GHQ) and PNP. Team GHQ on the other hand won first in Basketball followed by PNP and Philippine Navy (PN)
The PN meanwhile dominated the fun games with the Army at second place and Philippine Air Force (PAF) at third. The little sailors alswon the Modern Dance Competition followed by PA and PNP respectively.
Team PAF won first in Men’s Volleyball followed by PA and PCG while PN triumphed at Women’s Volleyball followed by PA and GHQ.
The friendly competition was conducted to inspire dependents of uniformed men and women to continue their passion for sports while promoting camaraderie and teamwork among government law enforcement agencies.
