CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Commission on Appointments approved the ad interim promotion of 33 military officers during the plenary session and deliberation in Pasay City on May 21.
The appointees are composed of one Lieutenant General, one Major General, three Brigadier Generals, and 28 Colonels/ Navy Captains. This batch of senior officers is led by LtGen Facundo O Palafox IV, the recently designated Commander of AFP's Southern Luzon Command.
Their confirmation is a testament to the effective implementation of meritocracy within the military, highlighting the selection of capable leaders based on competency and character.
