CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through its Gender and Development Office, successfully conducted “Run with Her 2026,” a meaningful Run for a Cause anchored on the theme: “Serbisyo at Takbong Alay ng Sandatahang Lakas Para kina Juana at Juan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Maayos na Kalusugan,” held today, here.
With approximately 1,500 participants, the event brought together a diverse group of military personnel and civilian partners, united in advancing gender equality, promoting health awareness, and strengthening community solidarity. The initiative reflects the AFP’s continued commitment to inclusive service and nation-building, recognizing the vital role of both women and men in achieving sustainable peace and development.
As a Run for a Cause, proceeds from the event will be donated to selected charitable institutions and non-government organizations that provide support and services to women and children who are victims and survivors of gender-based violence. This initiative highlights the AFP’s role not only in national defense but also in humanitarian efforts and social responsibility.
