CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Navy personnel were reminded by the Armed Forces Chief today to fight for the nation’s sovereign rights and territory during his visit at the Navy Headquarters this morning.
“Let us always bear in mind our own interests. We are Filipinos, and we will fight for the Philippines’ rights, our sovereign rights, and our territorial integrity,” General Romeo S Brawner Jr, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff said.
To personally check on the welfare and encourage AFP troops, Brawner visited the Headquarters, Philippine Navy, Roxas Boulevard, Manila on September 26.
“The Philippine Navy will play a very important role not just in the defense of our territory but in the development of our country,” said General Brawner during his talk to the troops.
He reminded the Navy to be guided by the working principles of UNITY: Unification, Normalization, Internal Security Operations, Territorial Defense, and Youth and encouraged them to continue performing their duties in fulfillment of the AFP’s mandate.
The CSAFP then applauded the Philippine Navy for their unwavering commitment to protecting the people and securing the State.///
