CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines Multi-Sector Governance Council (AFP MSGC) conducted its 23rd Regular Meeting on May 30 at the AFP Headquarters.
The AFP MSGC Chairperson, Mr. Francisco F. Del Rosario, Jr. represented by Mr. Rex Drilon II, and the Chief of Staff, AFP (CSAFP) General Andres C Centino PA, presided over the meeting. In attendance were regular MSGC members; the Vice Chief of Staff, AFP (VCSAFP), LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF; the Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP (TDCSAFP), LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M); the AFP Joint Staff, and selected Personal and Special Staff.
The AFP Multi-Sector Governance Council serves as a body that helps monitor and assess the performance of the AFP in its planning, strategy formulation, advocacies, and policy implementation in relation to its transformation initiatives.
As partners advocating for good governance, council members discussed the updates on the AFP Campaign, Strategic Communication, the CSAFP Scorecard, and the proposed Amnesty Program for CTG members, highlighting the efforts and initiatives geared toward AFP’s transformation.
In closing, the CSAFP expressed his gratitude to the MSGC for their guidance and assured the council of the AFP’s plans to move forward and of propelling the public’s trust. “The AFP now is what the MSGC has helped through the years, and we are thankful to you. We will make sure that we will be the capable Armed Forces that everyone will be proud of,” the CSAFP said.///
