CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held the Joint Graduation Ceremony for the Major Services Officer Candidate Course (OCC) with President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. as the guest of honor and speaker, held on December 13, here.
The OCC, a comprehensive one-year training program, aims to equip its graduates with the mental, physical, and emotional resilience necessary to become officers in the AFP Regular Force.
This year’s graduation is composed of 610 graduates from which, 362 cadets are from the Philippine Army (PA) – Katarakian Class 61-2024, 173 from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) – Sigmandigan Class 2024 and 75 from the Philippine Navy (PN) – Mangisalakan Class 42-2024.
In his address, President Marcos emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, and commitment to national service, highlighting the vital role that the new officers will play in securing the country's future. "Your graduation day today signifies the culmination of your determination, sacrifice and hard work to overcome the challenges of becoming an officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines This marks the beginning of your role to ensure the defense of our nation and the safety of all Filipino," said President Marcos.
The graduation is a testament to the strength of the AFP's training programs and the future of military leadership. The graduates will now proceed with their respective assignments, fulfilling their roles in safeguarding the nation and contributing to the AFP’s mission of peace, security, and national development.
