CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) honored the United Nations Military Observers and Peacekeeping Force Staff Officers for their distinguished service in various UN missions following a flag-raising ceremony held today, here.
The ceremony was led by Vice Chief of Staff LtGen Jimmy D Larida who also presented the awards to the returning officers, highlighting their dedication and contribution to international peace and security.
In his address, LtGen Larida praised the awardees for representing the Philippines with honor on the global stage. “You are more than peacekeepers—you are bearers of hope and ambassadors of a nation that believes in justice, human dignity, and shared responsibility,” he said.
The AFP commended the honorees for upholding professionalism, discipline, and a strong sense of duty throughout their deployments. Their service strengthens the AFP’s ongoing commitment to international peacekeeping and multilateral cooperation.
