AFP hosts Closing Ceremony of PH Uniformed Services Olympics 2023

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines, through the Office of the Chief, Special Service, AFP, formally closed the 2023 AFP-PNP-PCG-BFP-BJMP-BuCor Olympics with Commissioner Olivia “Bong” G. Coo of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during a ceremony conducted on November 9 at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand. 

Athletes from the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) attended this year’s Olympics with the Philippine Army being hailed as the overall champion. 

PSC Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo represented the PSC Chairman, Richard Bachmann, during the ceremony, and expressed their support to the athletes from our country’s law enforcement agencies. 

“The annual Olympics proves the ignited spirit of camaraderie and solidarity of all our active uniformed personnel from start to finish. Continue to strive for excellence and uphold the values you have displayed here. May this event strengthen your aspirations to the best interest of the Philippines and of our citizenry. Sama-sama nating ipagmalaki na bida ang bayaning manlalaro,” conveyed Commissioner Coo.///
