AFP installs new chiefs to CMO, strategy offices

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines installed new officers to lead the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Office, OJ7, and the Office for Strategic Studies and Strategy Management (OSSSM) in a ceremony at the AFP General Headquarters on October 24.

BGen Arvin Lagamon formally assumed as the new J7 following his stint as the Commander of the Civil Relations Service AFP. He replaced MGen Gabriel Viray III.

Meanwhile, BGen George Banzon, commander of the 901st Infantry Brigade, received the reins of the OSSSM from Col Haroun-Al-Rashid Jaji. 

"With his broad knowledge and experience in civil affairs and civil-military operations, I am fully confident that BGen Lagamon is the best man to continue leading the OJ7 family," LtGen Gaerlan said of BGen Lagamon.

BGen Lagamon served as Commander of the Army CMO Regiment; the Division Chief of the Civil Affairs Division, OJ7; spokesperson of the 8th Infantry Division, PA; and Chief of the Public Affairs Branch, OG7, PA

"Likewise, BGen Banzon brings with him all the lessons and insights from his various designations, exhibiting his multifaceted characteristic as a leader, which shall undoubtedly further propel the OSSSM family to more accomplishments in the future," LtGen Gaerlan added.///
