CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) reaffirmed their strong defense partnership as AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. welcomed General Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, MAF Chief of Defense Force during a courtesy meeting held on December 15, here.
The meeting served as an avenue for both military leaders to exchange views on regional security developments and discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral defense cooperation. General Brawner expressed the AFP’s appreciation for the long-standing collaboration between the two armed forces, particularly in areas of mutual concern such as maritime security, humanitarian assistance and disaster response, and capacity building initiatives.
The engagement highlighted the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Malaysia, reaffirming their shared commitment to a secure and stable regional environment through sustained cooperation and partnership.
