CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines commemorated the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Manila, with a wreath-laying ceremony held today, in Manila City.
The AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Jimmy D Larida, military personnel, and distinguished guests gathered to honor the valor and sacrifice of those who fought to secure the nation's freedom during one of the fiercest battles of World War II.
As the Philippines continues to honor the lives lost and the legacies of the past, the AFP renews its pledge to safeguard the nation's freedom for future generations and to promote awareness to the country’s enduring heritage.
