CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) commemorated its 89th Anniversary with an interfaith prayer service followed by a flag raising ceremony on December 20, 2024, here.
The solemn service, attended by AFP personnel, partners, and stakeholders, highlighted the institution's commitment to unity, inclusivity, and spiritual resilience. The gathering brought together leaders of various faiths to offer prayers for the AFP's continued strength, the safety of its personnel, and the peace and security of the nation.
This served as a prelude for today’s anniversary activities, which will highlight the AFP’s accomplishment of its mission of defending the country and ensuring peace and stability.
