CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines with the National Parks Development Committee and Salute To A Clean Flag Movement (STACF), and in partnership with the Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) Foundation, commemorated the bravery and resilience demonstrated during the Marawi Siege in a "Stop and Salute" Flag Raising Ceremony, held today at Rizal Park, Manila City.
During his address, AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr emphasized the importance of honoring the memories of the fallen and recognizing the courage of those who fought to uphold peace. He highlighted these values during the flag-raising ceremony, which symbolized a renewed pledge of service.
"’Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y tagumpay na nagniningning,’ this words speak to the brilliance of our victories, symbolized each time our flag is raised. It embodies the sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom and the enduring spirit of our nation. Today we are reminded of our heroes' courage and collective duty to uphold the values they have fought," said General Brawner.
