CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr PA, conferred new ranks on six newly promoted generals and senior officers during a ceremonial donning of ranks held today, here.
The promoted officers were led by Lieutenant General Adonis Ariel G Orio PA, Commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM). Also promoted were Major General Patricio Ruben P Amata PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7; Major General Arsenio DC Sadural PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8; Major General Rosendo C Abad Jr PA, Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command; Brigadier General Dexter A Macasaet PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, AJ4; and Brigadier General Joey T Fontiveros PA, Commander of the AFP Cyber Command.
General Brawner emphasized the responsibilities that come with higher rank, saying, “You assume your role with complete confidence that you will continue to strengthen peace and security within your areas of responsibility. There is no turning back, only the path forward. The AFP believes in you—your character and your commitment to lead.”
The promotion of these senior officers reflects the AFP’s continuing efforts to develop capable, mission-driven leaders dedicated to safeguarding national security and advancing peace and stability across the country.
