AFP ramps up security measures

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has announced the implementation of heightened security measures across its military camps as a testament to the AFP's commitment to the PH-US General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) aimed at fortifying bilateral relations and enhancing overall security capabilities.
The heightened security protocols are designed to safeguard classified information and critical infrastructure, ensuring that all military assets are well-protected against potential threats. These measures include advanced surveillance systems, increased personnel training, and stricter access controls to sensitive areas.

Looking ahead, the AFP plans to continue its investment in cutting-edge security technologies and training programs. Collaborative efforts with US military counterparts will also be strengthened through joint exercises and knowledge-sharing initiatives, ensuring that both nations remain vigilant and prepared to face emerging security challenges.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines is responsible for the protection and defense of the Philippines. The AFP continues to advance its capabilities and foster partnerships to address both conventional and unconventional security threats.
