AFP Reaffirms Stand Against Gender-Based Violence in MOVE Walk 2025

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) participated in the kickoff ceremony of the 2025 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) through the Men Opposed to Violence Against Women (MOVE) Walk to End VAW on November 25, here.

Personnel from the AFP’s major services—the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Air Force—actively participated in the event, demonstrating unified support for the nationwide advocacy to end all forms of abuse and discrimination against women and girls.

The MOVE Walk, held annually in line with the national observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, seeks to engage men as partners and advocates in promoting gender equality and raising awareness on the prevalence and impact of gender-based violence.

Through its continued participation in the campaign, the AFP reaffirmed its support for government efforts to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all Filipino women.
