
The Armed Forces of the Philippines received a brand-new Cessna-208B (C-208B) Grand Caravan EX Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft on September 19 that will boost the AFP’s capability to protect Philippine territory and sovereign rights.
Secretary of National Defense, Gilberto Teodoro Jr, led the formal acceptance, turn-over, and blessing at Clark Air Base, Pampanga with the Chief of Staff, AFP, Gen Romeo S Brawner and Philippine Air Force Commanding General, LtGen Stephen P Parreño.
The Cessna-208B can operate up to 912 nautical miles and stay airborne for 5 hours and 30 minutes. With an advanced ISR capability, it will be operated by the 300th Air Intelligence and Security Wing. (Photo by PFC Carmelotes/PAO, AFP)
