CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) paid tribute to seven retiring generals in a testimonial parade and review held at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City. The event, graced by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. PA, honored the officers’ exemplary service and dedication.
Major General Marvin L. Licudine PA, Commander of the AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (PMA Class '89) led the roster of generals concluding their distinguished military careers. He was joined by Major General Freddie T. Dela Cruz PA, Commander, Special Operations Command, AFP (PMA Class '92); Brigadier General Krishnamurti A. Mortela PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training, and Doctrine, AJ8, AFP (PMA Class '92); Commodore Rommel U. Labrador PN, Deputy Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (PMA Class '91); Brigadier General Perfecto P. Peñaredondo PA, Assistant Division Commander, 8th Infantry Division, PA (PMA Class '91); Brigadier General Andre B. Santos PA, Commander, 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Armor Division, PA (PMA Class '92); and Brigadier General Emilio R. Pajarillo Jr. PA, Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, PA (PMA Class '91).
The honorees were presented with plaques of recognition symbolizing the AFP’s gratitude for their significant contributions to the organization and the nation. These represent the appreciation of the armed forces for the officers’ unwavering service and leadership.
