The Armed Forces of the Philippines recognizes the related public assemblies expected to take place in Metro Manila as part of the upcoming commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA Revolution. We will uphold and protect the constitutional rights of our citizens to peacefully assemble and express their views, consistent with the rule of law.

The Philippine National Police retains primary responsibility for maintaining peace and order during public assemblies. The AFP stands ready to provide assistance in support of law enforcement authorities when requested and as directed by proper authority, in accordance with established operational procedures and interagency coordination.
