CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) actively participated in the 3rd Quarter 2025 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on September 11, 2025, here.
The event was spearheaded by the the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and witnessed by key officials, including Lt. General Jimmy D Larida, AFPโs Acting Chief of Staff.
The drill tested the coordination and operational capabilities of the NDRRMC, Local DRRM Councils, and partner agencies across the National Capital Region. It focused on immediate response actions, emergency communications, inter-agency collaboration, logistical operations, and urban search and rescue procedures.
The AFPโs continued participation in the NSED reaffirms its role as a key responder in the countryโs disaster preparedness and management efforts.
