CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) celebrated the graduation of the Command and General Staff Course (CGSC) Class 76 in a ceremony held today, here. AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, commending the graduates for completing the AFP’s highest joint professional military education program.
A total of 189 officers completed the intensive six-month course conducted from May to November. The class consisted of 89 officers from the Philippine Army, 20 from the Philippine Air Force, 30 from the Philippine Navy, 27 from the Technical Administrative Service, 2 from the Philippine Coast Guard, 13 International Military Students, and 12 Reservist Officers.
Widely regarded as the premier leadership development program of the AFP, the CGSC equips officers with the critical knowledge and skills needed to assume key command and staff positions at both the operational and strategic levels. It also fosters joint interoperability by integrating qualified reservist officers and international military students into the program.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to top-performing graduates who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the course. Their recognition affirmed their readiness to assume greater responsibilities and reinforced the AFP’s dedication to cultivating highly capable and mission-oriented leaders for the country.
