CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally welcomed new Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8, during a Joint Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided over by The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP, Lieutenant General Rommel P Roldan PAF held on February 4, here.
During the ceremony, Lt. Gen. Roldan honored both Lieutenant General Arvin R Lagamon PA, outgoing Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7, who currently serves as Commander of the Civil-Military Operations Command, and Brigadier General Ronaldo V Juan PN(M), outgoing Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8, recognizing their invaluable service and contributions to the organization.
Major General Patricio Ruben P Amata PA officially assumed office as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7. A member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maalab” Class of 1993, MGen Amata previously served as Assistant Division Commander of the 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division, Philippine Army.
Meanwhile, Major General Arsenio DC Sadural PA, also a member of the PMA “Maalab” Class of 1993, took over as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8. Prior to his designation, MGen Sadural served as Assistant Division Commander of the 8th Infantry “Stormtroopers” Division of the Philipine Army.
The AFP expressed confidence that the newly designated officers will further strengthen civil-military engagement and enhance education and training programs, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to professionalism, service, and national defense.
