The Change of Chief of Office Ceremony also marked the retirement of the outgoing AFPSM, First Chief Master Sergeant Rogelio O Obillo PN(M). He turned over his duties to the incoming AFPSM, Master Chief Petty Officer Joe Marie V Lucero PN, who took the post in an acting capacity.

The CSAFP conveyed his appreciation to the outgoing AFPSM and his family for his service, especially in leading one of the most vital offices in the AFP. "For all that you have done, the whole AFP is honored and grateful for your service. I extend our deepest appreciation to FCMS Obillo for his exemplary military service and his many significant contributions to the fulfillment of the AFP's initiatives and mission," said the CSAFP.

The CSAFP also expressed his confidence in the newly-designated Acting AFPSM, MCPO Lucero PN, as a highly competent leader in advocating and promoting the welfare of AFP Enlisted Personnel.

"As the torch is passed, I call on the personnel of the Office of the AFP Sergeant Major to extend the same selfless support to our acting AFP Sergeant Major. Continue to foster stronger teamwork and solid relationships to bring your office to even greater heights," the CSAFP added while also urging the Senior Enlisted Personnel to "make sure that they have ears" for the concerns of the troops.///(Photos by TSgt Obinque, PAOAFP)
