CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted a courtesy visit from students and staff of the Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) of Bangladesh on September 10, 2024, at the AFP General Headquarters here.
The visiting delegation was warmly received by Acting Chief of Staff of the AFP, Lieutenant General Arthur Cordura, and Major General Noel Beleran, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Training, J8.
The visit is part of the DSCSC’s regional engagement efforts to strengthen ties with counterparts in the Indo-Pacific region, promoting mutual learning and collaboration in defense and security. During their visit, the DSCSC delegation engaged in discussions with AFP leadership, focusing on shared security challenges, strategic insights, and potential avenues for military cooperation.
LtGen Cordura emphasized the importance of fostering international military-to-military relationships and learning from each other’s experiences to enhance collective capabilities. He highlighted the visit as an opportunity to deepen defense relations between the Philippines and Bangladesh, reinforcing their shared commitment to regional peace and security.
