CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomes the latest results of the Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research from 25–30 September 2025, which show that about 70% of adult Filipinos are willing to fight for the country should a conflict arise.
This overwhelming expression of readiness reflects the enduring patriotism of the Filipino people and their deep commitment to protecting our nation’s sovereignty and future. The AFP notes with pride that this sentiment cuts across socioeconomic classes, regions, cultures, and ethnic groups, demonstrating that, despite differences, love of country remains a unifying force for our people.
As part of its mandate, the AFP will continue strengthening its Reserve Force development, community engagement programs, and modernization efforts to ensure that citizens not only feel capable of contributing to national defense but also confident in the country’s defense institutions.
The AFP remains steadfast in its commitment to defend the Philippines and its people. The strong support reflected in the survey results inspires every soldier, airman, sailor, and marine to carry out their duties with even greater dedication.///
