CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Lieutenant Colonel Alister Eric Sparkes and 13 other students from the Australian Command and Staff College paid a courtesy call on BGen Krishnamurti Mortela PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training, and Doctrine, AJ8, during their study tour at the AFP General Headquarters on July 16.
This study tour, part of a broader engagement program, aims to inform the Australian students about the Philippines' socio-economic development, foreign policy, security, and strategic priorities. It also fosters mutual understanding and enhances defense relations between the Philippines and Australia.
The students are scheduled to visit various AFP units and other relevant training institutions, such as the AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), to conduct briefings and discussions with senior civilians and military officials.
The activity underscored the AFP’s commitment to engage stakeholders to foster a deeper understanding of national security and immerse them in practical defense diplomatic experience.
