CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally opened the 9th iteration of the AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) “DAGIT-PA” 09-2025, led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., today. The activity signals the start of a ten-day joint military exercise taking place in various areas across Luzon and Palawan from November 4 to 14, 2025.
AJEX “DAGIT-PA,” which stands for Dagat, Langit, Lupa, is a comprehensive training program designed to strengthen the interoperability of the Philippine Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps in land, air, and maritime operations. It aims to enhance the AFP’s capability to respond effectively to a wide range of security challenges and to promote unity of effort across its Major Services, including the active participation of the reserve force in joint and combined missions.
This annual unilateral exercise, also underscores the AFP’s collaboration with government partners such as the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police, reinforcing inter-agency coordination and advancing a whole-of-government approach to national security.
General Brawner encouraged all participating personnel to approach the exercise with professionalism, foresight, and unity of purpose, “As we commence AJEX DAGIT-PA 09-2025, let us train with excellence, act with foresight, and serve with unity of purpose. Preparedness is our greatest peacekeeper, and unity is our strongest weapon. Together, we ensure that the Philippines will not only endure the storms ahead but prevail,” General Brawner said.
Through this exercise, the AFP reaffirms its commitment to building a modern, capable, and resilient defense force that stands ready to protect the nation and its people.
