
The AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres Centino, inspects the sites for the live fire events of the 38th PH-US Balikatan Exercises that opened on April 11. He visits the Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command in San Antonio, Zambales, which will be the Combined Joint Littoral Live Fire Exercise venue on April 26. He also checks the Basa Air Base in Pampanga and the Naval Installation and Facilities, Philippine Navy in Subic, Zambales.
This year's Balikatan features over 17,500 Filipino and American military personnel participating in enhancing their joint and combined capabilities in maritime security, amphibious operations, live-fire exercise, urban operations, aviation operations, counter-terrorism, and humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
The annual bilateral exercise will highlight four (4) major events: Command Post Exercise, Cyber Defense Exercise, Field Training Exercise, and Humanitarian Civic Assistance./// (Photos by PFC Carmelotes/PAO, AFP)
