CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, welcomed Rear Admiral Peter Gumataotao (Ret), Director of the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) during the latter’s courtesy visit on October 26 at the AFP General Headquarters here.
In their meeting, the two discussed training and education opportunities in the APCSS and exchanged perspectives on present and emerging security issues and threats and how to address them.
“The CSAFP, being an alumnus of the APCSS, also expressed his appreciation of such advanced studies on defense and security strategy in developing military officers,” said LtCol Enrico Gil Ileto, Chief of the Public Affairs Office AFP.
The Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies is an institute of the United States Department of Defense based in Hawaii that provides comprehensive program of executive education, professional exchanges and outreach events, both in Hawaii and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. ///
