
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Performing artists gathered in the Konsyerto sa Palasyo (KSP) on April 22 for a one-night performance in recognition of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' role in peace and security.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr initiated the concert, which was also attended by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, Vice President Sara Duterte, former president and current Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, OIC-DND, Senior USec Carlito Galvez and other government officials.
AFP Chief of Staff General Andres Centino, AFP Major Service Commanders, senior officers, enlisted personnel, and their families were also present to receive the accolades.
The KSP held in Malacañan Palace featured the country's best up-and-coming artists to highlight the nation's rich culture and world-class talents in a show curated by Iloilo City's famed musical director Jeddi Cris Celeste.
The performers were the Samiweng Singers from Ilocos Norte National High School; harpists from Cebu Benedicto Costaños Sr and Benedicto Costaños Jr; rapper, composer, singer, beatmaker, and guitarist Crainzee; rappers MC Julyo, GLNN, and A.K. Fella; spoken word artist Kenli Sibayan; OPM icon Florante; and singers Limuel Llanes (Quezon Province), Poppert Bernadas (Davao), and Princess Vire (Quezon City).
