CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally resumed its weekly Zumba sessions for General Headquarters Civilian Human Resources (GHQ CivHRs) through an opening ceremony held on May 28, 2026, at Tejeros Hall, AFP Commissioned Officers Country, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Commodore Ramilo B Trinidad PN, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, AJ1, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the activity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical fitness and mental resilience amid the daily demands of work and personal responsibilities.

Adding inspiration to the event, 2LT Matteo Guidicelli PA (Res) made a special appearance during the opening ceremony. In his message, he expressed his gratitude to the GHQ CivHRs for their continued support to the AFP and encouraged everyone to remain physically active and resilient in carrying out their daily responsibilities. He also promoted the upcoming documentary series “PATRIOTS,” which highlights the stories, sacrifices, and dedication of AFP personnel in service to the nation.

Spearheaded by the Civilian Personnel Affairs Division of OJ1, AFP, the initiative aims to provide a positive and healthy environment where GHQ CivHRs can improve their well-being through regular physical activity. The weekly sessions, scheduled every Thursday at 3:00 PM, are led by licensed Zumba instructors and are also open to military personnel who wish to complement their AFP-mandated physical fitness activities.

The AFP continues to promote programs that support the overall wellness, morale, and productivity of both civilian human resources and military personnel in the organization.
