CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- Internationally acclaimed American vocal group 98 Degrees made a courtesy call to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), on May 28 at the General Headquarters’ Balangiga Hall, where they were warmly received by The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP, Lieutenant General Rommel P Roldan.
The visit is part of the band’s initiative to promote mental health awareness during their stay in the Philippines for their upcoming concert in Manila on 30 May 2025.
Following the courtesy call, the members of 98 Degrees proceeded to Tejeros Hall, where they met and interacted with selected AFP personnel. The group treated members of the AFP to a special performance, showcasing not only their musical talent but also their commitment to bringing joy and encouragement to those who serve the nation.
The group is also scheduled to visit patients at the Department of Mental Health and Behavioral Science of V. Luna Medical Center.
The AFP, in turn, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the holistic welfare of its personnel by facilitating this meaningful engagement. The event underscored the military's growing emphasis on mental health support and awareness within its ranks, aligning with national and international efforts to prioritize psychological well-being.
