
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--LtGen Ernesto C Torres PA relinquished his post as commander of NOLCOM to MGen Fernyl G Buca PAF in a Joint Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony presided over by the CSAFP, General Andres C Centino PA, on January 25 in the NOLCOM headquarters in Tarlac.
LtGen Torres retired from the military after more than 38 years of service as a cadet and officer.His career was highlighted by his appointment to various command positions, including commander of the Civil Relations Service, Joint Task Force Haribon, and 1003rd Infantry Brigade.
"After a year of guidance and leadership over team NOLCOM, LtGen Torres has upheld operational efficiency, coupled with extensive and strong stakeholder partnerships, in achieving the Command’s goals towards the protection of our territorial integrity, security of the people, and development of the communities within its joint area of operations," General Centino said.
Meanwhile, MGen Buca was the former Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4; Air Force Inspector General; and commander of the 520th Air Base Wing, the Air Education, Training, and Doctrine Command, and the Tactical Operations Group 12.
"With his broad experience in logistics, operations, and training, I have no doubt that NOLCOM shall continually ensure the optimal utilization and management of its resources and further enhance NOLCOM’s joint operations and unit and personnel competencies," the CSAFP said.
