The tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of Gov Degamo in Negros Oriental last Saturday, reportedly involved former soldiers.
The Philippine Army has already clarified that the suspects in the incident were former soldiers who were dishonorably discharged from the military service years ago for various offenses. Per records, the three former soldiers arrested, were separated from the military service for AWOL and involvement in illegal drugs, which is a serious offense that the organization would never tolerate.
The AFP continues to uphold the highest standards of discipline and will not hesitate to weed out scalawags and misfits from among its ranks.
